WIMBORNE MINSTER
The Organ

One of the glories
of Wimborne Minster is the exceptionally high standard of music, which is
accompanied by a superb organ of more than 3,000 pipes. It was rebuilt
in 1965 by J.W. Walker when the opportunity was taken to install the musically
and visually wonderful orchestral trumpets. Pipes from earlier instruments
were incorporated including some from 1664. The playing console is on the
northern side of the choir.
