This is an exquisite country church set well back from the main road, at the head of a little street of cottages.  It is constructed from flint and stone and has a Norman chancel arch with a 16c nave.  The porch is interesting because it does not appear to belong to any specific period, which suggests that it may be the result of yet another Victorian 'improvement'.

A unique (for Dorset) feature is the glazed priest's door in the chancel.  This truly inspired arrangement allows light to stream into the area while, at the same time, retaining the essential tranquility.

This is a really charming place that generously rewards a visit.
